Here is a list of our services.
EMS (Electrical Muscle Stimulation)
This is a special form of electrical current that is administered at the site of soft tissue injury. In this process, small amounts of electrical current are induced into the tissues for the purpose of reducing swelling, loosening tight muscles, strengthening weak areas and relieving pain. This is a widely used technique that helps reduce painful symptoms. Patients generally feel a slight tingling sensation at first, but your body may become accustomed to the initial setting and you can relax for the 10-15 minute duration of your treatment.
This is another therapeutic treatment using high frequency sound waves administered in the region of soft tissue injuries. The sound vibrations, penetrate the tissues deep in the body, creating a thermal response, increases blood flow, relaxes muscle spasms, massages damaged tissues and speeds the healing process. The vibrations and heat help break down and disperse unhealthy calcium and other hard tissue deposits. Many patients feel nothing when receiving a treatment and others feel pleasant and relaxing sensation below the surface of the skin.
Low Level Laser
The low level laser is a form of light therapy designed to activate the surrounding cells in order to speed up the healing process. The laser is FDA approved and is one of the safest therapies available today. During a typical treatment, which may last only a few minutes, most patients will feel nothing at all. Soon after a treatment or series of treatments many patients begin to notice accelerated healing and pain reduction, as the laser helps to coordinate cell functioning.
We have 2 different types of rehab services in our office.
The first one is LOW TECH REHAB. A series of gentle stretching and strengthening exercises that work to facilitat and compliment the chiropractic adjustment.
The second is HIGH TECH REHAB. A 5 station isotonic weight program that increases joint range of motion, muscular strength, power, and endurance. It also provides joint mobility and stability, and prevents in any further recurrent injury.
